I want one!!

I felt that a car's too big and it boliao when u r alone most of the time. Lugging such a huge mass of steel and burning such an amount of hydrocarbons (petrol) and to pay for it jus does not seem that cost effective.

Enter the carver one, it is sort of a motorised tricycle which leans like a bike. What is really love most about this is that it is covered! whcih means u wun get wet!

There was the sparrow in singapore sometime ago but it's electric. But the carver runs on petrol. However, it is also hand made like the sparrow and costs GBP22500!! (almost SGD67500!!) But i dunno if the carver will be classified as a bike or a car. It will be good if it is classified as a bike like in the US cos it will cost a lot lesser due to the COE/Roadtax difference. Below's a embed of the BBC Top Gear Review about carver one.

Condoms 'too big' for Indian men

Look at what's happening in India! Their condom's too big for their dicks. Maybe singapore should do that too. Maybe this can help as there is also rise in HIV infections in singapore.

Dun Understand...

Yesterday, I've no choice but to call back the previous company again. I had to get the HR to recall some of my documents at the various branches. Due to the change in the address and company I'm working at, I've got to notify the authorities and to send back some documents issued to me by the authorities in order to get the updated ones. After speaking to the HR came a surprise. HR told me to send in my resignation letter as my termination was changed to my voluntary resignation. THis is just weird. I dunno what's the reason. Maybe they were just trying to get rid of me in order not to pay for my bonus or 13th mth. Or maybe they they were afraid that I'll raise my unhappiness to the MOM? I jus dun understand...

Farni Company

Haiya. Called the HR to day to check out if I've severance pay n when would i get my severence pay. HR said will call me to let me know again. Then in the afternoon, the EX Boss called and asked y i want a termination letter. Farni loh. Terminate me dun gimme termination letter. Dunno wat company is this. Still boasting that they are the biggest chain store of my trade. Dun even hav a proper hierarchy. Some Zone manager can jus fire u like tt. Somemore nvr tell my manager. I've got to break the news to my manager! Also never ask me for my input n jus got fired like that. Damn sad loh.

Okay. Back to the reason y the EX Boss called. He called asking me y i wanna termination letter and what i trying to do. Seems a bit scared like i would use the company letter head to do some curse or whatsoeva. The went on saying why I wanna put this down in black n white n call me to jus move on and get a job. Saying that he wun tell others that he terminated me n will treat like i resign. Damn stupid loh. N he went on saying that it would be better for my reputation.

Damn boliao. He damn farni. worry abt my reputation. I think he better worry abt his company's reputation better. Mia Sia (Reputation) so smelly liao still got time to worry abt me. I also dunno y i kena psycho to hop over to that company. But thanks to him i got to work at a better place now. Although the remuneration is much lesser but i dun mind as i believe that i'll be able to learn much more here and would be able to have the freedom to do a lot of things.

Of yah. Abt my severance pay. Turned out that as i was working for less then 6 mths, I wouldn't get any severance pay. I think this is also one of their "flexible" policy lah. Say follow MOM but I'm under contractual terms wif the company. Weird. Just Weird.

Huh? ICT?

Sadness. Got a letter from the reservist unit to remind me for my ICT. The funny part is, i wasn't even informed of the ICT in the first place! This added salt to the wound as i was just terminated by my boss. The weird part was, I was informed at the last minute that I was terminated! not even a day's notice!. The reason for termination was that I was not apologetic when I was reporting late. This is really weird as i feel that i should e apologetic towards my colleagues and not towards the person who was in charge of recording people who are late. Sigh... wat to do...

My New PC

The dumb PC broke down and i bought new parts. Apparently i've not been keeping up with the thrend of PC hardware and it turned out the i've gotta reinstall windows if i got to keep the data. However, reinstalling windowsxp using my current CD was impossible as the cd i hav was serverly scratched. So i gotta buy a new one. But reinstalling windows will bring new problems as the windows does not have service pack 2 and i would havta reinstall and up date all the shit.

So i went online and it turned out that i can do something called slipstreaming which creates a new xpcd with all the updates. So there I go. Success. Finally finished the job after a month.

Below's My new PC... Looks damn moronic rite. I grew sick of pluggin in n out so i set it up like that. Hahaha!!

Me n My Birthday present.

Came across Antworks on the web and thought of getting it.

Went through a bit of research and found out that cre8tivesparks mentioned about it in his blog but he didn't reply when i emailed him to find out where i could get it in singapore. By a stroke of luck, I chanced upon the thingamajig while waiting for Esther at Plaza Singapura. It costed me $49.90. As my birthday was near, I treated it as a birthday for myself.

So today, I started off with my new craze. Antworks.

I unpacked the box and took out the habitat.

Created the ant-sucker-upperer with the help of reverendtimothy. I suck from the yellow straw n the ant gets sucked into the jar through the green one.

Got ready a bar of Fruitella as bait. Chewed up a piece of fruitella and placed it at my void deck near a grass patch.

Half an hour later, My Bro n I went downstairs to catch the buggers. To my disappointment, the ants were not attracted to the bait!
Sadness... We walked around n managed to find some ants big enough for the Habitat. Catching the ants was real tiring with the buggers running around like crazy. We only managed to catch 3 ants after 15 mins.

With some creativity, i created a sticky-wand using masking tape n my bro would trap the ants on the wand and i would suck the ants in to the jar.

After about half more hour, we managed to catch about 20 ants and we went home to put the ants in their new home (u can also see some of the small pieces of rock which i sucked into the jar when catching the ants.

A few hours later, I went to check on the ants. To my dismay. no tunnels were dug and in addition, the ants pooed on the side of the wall! (A droplet with brown sediment as shown)

I'll check on them again tomoro.

Whine n Whine n Whine

Haiz...
So typical of singaporeans
Whine n Whine. Blame n Blame
Cannot find job blame govt
Y dun u try thinking y u followed the crowd when u could pick for yourself?
If u wanna be different from the rest, should've chosen a different path in the first place! Don't blame anyone if u blindly followed and did not research about the prospects when u chose ur field!

The Pool...

Went to the renovated tampines swimming pool today. There are added facilited like the water slides at the wading pool and sunbathing areas and some other unopened shops on the second storey around the complex. Seems fun at first. The fun ends when the learners come. Previously before the renovation, lanes were at the separated to accomodate learning swimmers and other swimmers. Now, there weren't any lane separation at the pool and there are groups of people having lessons all over the pool! It became a massive orgy. Sigh...

So Dark The Con Of Man

Woo...! Watched The Da Vinci Code today. Wonderful show. Much better then Xmen 3. It's especially when i guessed correctly the code for the cryptex!. Hahaha!~~ This show's a must watch. It makes people think (and i like shows that make people think). Although i'm not a christian and does not understand that religion at all, I could understand what's going on and of course, it's would have greater impact on christians as the novel seem to question the very basis of the religion.

Dental Hygiene

It's a mazing to know that come people actually floss using screwdrivers! I wonder if those screw drivers are the big ones or are they those used to tighten spectacles. Hmm.... or do "+" shaped screwdrivers make better tooth pics or the "-" ones.

The persistently non-political podcast

The originator of the famous tur kua (pork liver) podcast. In case u dunno, the podcast seems to poke fun at a recent affair involving a election candidate. The particular podcast is the sixth followed by many others which are satrical in nature too!

Bye Steve, Hi Sylvia

Let's welcome Ms Sylvia Lim to our parliament! Ms Sylvia was nominated by WP to be the NCMP. Ms Sylvia will take over the seat from Mr. Steve Chia. Lets give Mr. Steve Chia a pat on the back for the contribution over the past years. Lets hope that with Ms. Lim in the parliament, we'll get to hear a louder alternate voice.
