10c Discount on Train Ride!! Buay Gian loh...

Came across an article through the CNA RSS feed on an new initiative by SMRT.

SINGAPORE: A new SMRT initiative to get city-bound travellers to board the trains before the morning rush hours was off to a slow start on Monday, despite the transport operator handing out flyers a week before to inform commuters at nine MRT stations of the new promotion.

The nine MRT stations are Orchard, Somerset, Dhoby Ghaut, City Hall and Raffles Place on the North-South Line, and Lavender, Bugis, Tanjong Pagar and Outram Park on the East-West Line.

From Monday until October 31, commuters who exit any of the nine MRT stations before 7.30am will enjoy discounted breakfasts and a 10-cent discount on their fares.

Yah... Reach your station before 7.30am and you get to get 10C off your fare!! Thats lame.. How much can you save per mth? it's less then $3.00!! By reaching early you may have to have break fast near your work place instead of having it at home or at the kopitiam which means added costs. Kinda defeats the purpose of saving that 10cents in the first place.

I stayed awake just for this.

It's been a long time since I wanted to try it but I never managed to try it as I always couldn't wake up on time. But NOT this time!! In order to make sure i can get it, I made myself stay awake till the morning. Took a bath change clothes and started my pilgrimage.

After 15mins of walking, I reached, ordered, was served and took a pic...

As you can see, it's the McDonald's' Bagel Extra Value Meal (I changed the drink to Iced Latte)!!! Woot!~

The bagel was really good! I hoped this meal stayed for good. After the satisfying breakfast, I walked home. It's be bedtime after this post.

Hari Raya Soon

It's the Ramadan this month. As our fellow Muslim friends are fasting from dawn till dusk. Many times, they consume dates when they break the fast. The reasons in my opinion are,
1. it's a tradition
2. dates have very high sugar level and can give lots of energy to last through the day.

Anyway, i came across a product linked to the Ramadan.

It's a drink made from dates. Interesting!~
